This all sounds great, but it doesn't apply to large companies with agricultural or industrial business lines. In these cases, IT is a support area, not the core of the business. This is a good idea if you're a startup or SME with a technology focus.

Hi Lenin, appreciate you jumping in.

You're right that the article is focused on software-as-a-service companies. That’s my space, and that’s the lens I wrote from. I wasn’t trying to make a one-size-fits-all pitch to industrial or agricultural giants where IT is peripheral. If someone in that kind of company doesn’t see the relevance, that’s fair.

That said, even in those industries, someone in their ecosystem probably is thinking about certification, especially vendors or service providers who do rely on tech as more than just support. For them, this kind of approach could be useful, or at least thought-provoking.

So no, the article isn’t aimed at companies where IT is a back-office afterthought. It’s aimed at those of us building software products, especially in SaaS, who want to get serious about certifications without turning into paperwork factories. If others can borrow something from that, great. If not, no hard feelings.

Thanks again for engaging.
